Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority

ETC Corporation provided the system design and engineering for the toll collection system for the FBCTRA, including VES design and implementation for the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road, which opened in August 2004, and for the Fort Bend Westpark Tollway Extension, which opened in August 2005.

ETC Corporation will provide ongoing maintenance and support for these facilities through an existing contract with the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA), which operates and maintains the roads for FBCTRA.

In December 2001, ETC Corporation was contracted to provide toll systems design and specification services for a new all-electronic tollway to be integrated with HCTRA’s current toll system. ETC Corporation designed the toll equipment for each open-road toll overhead gantry, specifying physical, environmental, and performance requirements for each gantry, providing detailed equipment geometry and dimensioned layouts, and creating the technical specification for the RFP for a toll equipment installation contractor.
